Booked this hotel through hotwire and was pleasantly surprised by how wonderful it was! Love the spot so close to the Riverwalk and restaurants. The rooms were immensely clean and the beds were SO comfy. Everyone working there was pleasant and the security for the elevator was a game changer. A nice addition is that you can opt out of housekeeping for an additional $10 off (it's usually only $15) at the on-site restaurant everyday. The only issue was that they didn't honor the additional amount off at check-out and we didn't notice on our receipt until after when our receipt was emailed to us. We assumed it had been noted in our account, but apparently not. We only went to the restaurant once for a drink so it wasn't a large enough amount of money to put up a fuss, but it was a little annoying. Overall, a great hotel and the view from the rooms was definite plus!

I loved my stay at Swissotel. About the perfect location for Chicago in between most major sights and with beautiful river and lake views. My room was large and in great condition with a big bathroom. Good bar and food options in the lobby. The penthouse gym is well equipped and had easily the best views of any hotel gym I’ve used. Friendly staff throughout.

From the moment we arrived, the hotel impressed us with its elegant atmosphere, spotless rooms, and breathtaking views of the river and skyline. Every corner of the property reflects thoughtful design and genuine hospitality, making our vacation truly memorable. What elevated our experience even further was the exceptional service we received throughout our stay — and one person in particular deserves special recognition: Mr. Mario at the entrance lobby bar. From our very first visit, Mario welcomed us with warmth, professionalism, and a level of attentiveness that is increasingly rare. He has a remarkable ability to make guests feel instantly at home. Whether it was recommending the perfect drink, remembering our preferences, or simply engaging us with his friendly and sincere personality, he consistently went above and beyond our expectations. Because of him, we found ourselves returning to the lobby bar again and again — not just for the excellent cocktails and relaxing ambiance, but because Mario made each visit feel personal, comfortable, and genuinely enjoyable. His hospitality transformed a simple stop for a drink into one of the highlights of our trip. Swissôtel Chicago is already an outstanding hotel, but staff members like Mario elevate it to a whole different level. He embodies what true service and hospitality should be, and he played a major role in making our stay feel warm, memorable, and wonderfully homely. We had a very pleasant stay overall. We upgraded to a river-view room, and it was absolutely worth it—the view was amazing and one of the highlights of our trip. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax after a long day. We also enjoyed the gym, which was well-equipped and convenient to use during our stay. The location was another big plus. It was within walking distance of many of the area’s main attractions, making it easy to explore without needing to drive or rely on transportation. One nice perk was being able to use our hotel credit at the hotel bar, even early in the morning around 7 a.m., which we appreciated. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay with beautiful views, a convenient location, and great amenities. We’d happily stay here again.

We loved our stay at the Swiss room was clean bed comfortable. The best part was the Amuse which is upscale in look but relaxing vibe. There are so many bars nearby but we fell in love the the bartenders , Roberto and Pauchito. ask them to make a Scarlett Sunrise Martini.

We had an amazing stay at Swissotel Chicago! The hotel is absolutely luxurious, with super clean rooms, beautiful interiors, and breathtaking views of the city. We stayed here for our first wedding night, and the staff truly went above and beyond to make our experience special. They upgraded us to a wonderful room and surprised us with chocolate-covered strawberries, which was such a thoughtful and touching gesture. We were honestly pleasantly shocked by the level of care and attention we received. The location is perfect — right in the heart of downtown Chicago, close to everything. The atmosphere, service, and overall experience exceeded all our expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive throughout our stay. We created such beautiful memories here and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a special and unforgettable stay in Chicago!

The service team was top tier! I can't remember names, but the Assistant Manager was super pleasant and inviting. Upon arrival the bell hop was so friendly and he shared with us the great spots to dine. The gentleman assisting with the valet parking was amazing! The food at both restaurants in the hotel was very good! The fitness center great! I would definitely come back again!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. The location is excellent, close to everything I needed, making it easy to get around and enjoy the area. The customer service was outstanding from check-in to check-out. Every staff member was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. A special thank you to Nancy Rosario in housekeeping. She did an exceptional job keeping my room spotless, fresh, and well-stocked throughout my stay. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and warm attitude made a real difference and made me feel comfortable and well cared for. It's clear she takes great pride in her work. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations thanks to its great location, excellent customer service, and dedicated staff like Nancy Rosario. I look forward to staying here again!
